1. FIGHT THE FRIGHT

I feel pent up in this penthouse,
Too much nerves & not enough energy.
I wanna be the cat and not the mouse,
They've got no medicine for mental alergy.

[Chorus]
Fight;why don't you get a gun,i'll shoot
You one by one,my stomach turns but i can't fight the fright.

Hope that you can't read between the lines,
I've fell in too many times before, every man erects a
Don't tell me about Iran coz i've got my own war.

[Chorus]

You're too frail and i'm on your trail,i hope your spine
Shivers in pressure, women and children aren't the first
To wail, don't tell me about Iran coz i've got my own war.

2. IN NATURE

Won't you show me something in a
Vacuum that grows,cause ability
May not determine your life,
While environment may speak for
Itself,i think you always knew
The name of your wife.

[Chorus]
In nature,find no sympathy,
Please why don't you pity me.

Faces like that i've seen before,
And you quiz me as to my quota,
Random thougts of a social sample,
You've got to learn to respect the rota.

3. STORM

Find no shelter from the storm
Blow trough me with the greatest of ease,
Find no shelter in your arms,
Compassion doesn't cure the disease.
In my mind in my head in my own mind.
Find no safety written in books,
The words aren't processed clearly enough,
Find no safety in comforting books,
I've seen pain more than enough.
In my mind in my head in my own mind.
Find no help from psychiatry, men in suits
Of case history find no help in the missing links,
It doesn't matter you'll believe his story.
In my mind in my head in my own mind.

4. SYNDICATE

I can't get to sleep at night anymore,
Search for me from both sides of the law,
Why can't they just leave me alone,
You've taken everything my mind (just isn't)

[Chorus]
Just who will it benefit and who will it complicate,
Wanna give your notice you've been working for the syndicate.

I might be jealous,i might be envious,
Should've been quiet didn't want to make no fuss.
I've seen the blood rushing thru your veins,
Should've been drowned at birth and saved so much pain.

[Chorus]

5. WINDOWS

Losing sense of sight, looking out you'll never see,
If you try you might just remember me.

[Chorus]
And now i'm on my own stripped down to the bones,
The shattered framework holds me in no breakage
In here just cracks in the years, tears on the windows
That you'll never see.

I've tried to wash them down, the reflection will not change,
They leave a hollow sound,i'm out of range.

6. DELAY

As i lay in waiting in the third carriage,
My number came up so i had to leave,
Felt a sharp savage thrust in a mind that couldn't gauge,
Felt no disappointment no need to grieve.

[Chorus]
Delay abandoned journey delay all on my own,
You my pay your money, delay in a deleted zone.

The clock ticks by looking for response,
A potential fusion will have to be postponed,
I'm not content to sit up and wonder,
Like to call you up but someone broke the phone.

[Chorus]

7. GHETTO

The wire is all in my head,
Open my eyes while dreams pass instead of stealing showers,
Machine gun towers, there is only dead yellow flowers.

[Chorus]
Ghetto,barbed wire (etc)
Meanwhile under the tropical sun, gold teeth pensions i wonder who won,
Palm trees swaying to a pillar of stone,
Tanned over flesh on permanent loan.

Just a documentary i once saw of another world in another war,
I changed over half way trough changed my eyes to a healthier view.

[Chorus]

(And now i'm dead who'll pray for me,
Coz nobody's gonna save me)
Maybe it never happened at all?
-Just a TV plo,t to make us crawl is that real life on my screen?
Other pictures lie you know what i mean?

8. UNANSWERED PRAYERS

She worried for three weeks about the situation,
Of her families swelling degradation,
What would she do and what would she say?
She cried as she began to pray.

[Chorus]
But her prayers went unanswered just like her mothers,
No-one left to tell except denying lovers.

Three weeks passed and the question rolled in,
It seemed that god would not forgive her sins,
A world of her own in a living room,
Still but with motionin her womb.

[Chorus]

She finally realised the error,
Began her reign of hypocritical terror,
Forgot her daughters plight was once her own,
Mary too as unwanted flesh and bones...

9. MERCURY

White life today you find it hard to cope,
You're walking death on an emotional tightrope,
Supply received fitted your demand,a life exchange.

[Chorus]
Watch the world slowly dying,
Never show your face,
Watch your wall thermometer as the poison ups it's pace

A worldwide crisis but there is no drug,
A pity your media never literally dug,
Inside your head you hear death bells ring,
All your children shoot up mercury poisoning.

[Chorus]

Now your well of exploitations run dry,
This drinks gonna make you die,
Posthumous efforts make you think you're brave,
Try try try but you can't escape your grave.

10. CANCER

Patiently i wait to be taken in,
Trough the door with a jarring swing,
No examination to be needed this time,
Just the relief that morphine brings.

[Chorus]
Cancer:Cancer you breathe in deep,
Cancer it gnaws and creeps,
Cancer your flesh it sags,
Cancer with one more drag.

Local anaesthetic at a distance from me,
I didn't see the signs but they saw me,
Felt for the bodywork was straight ahead,
And everyone knows i'll soon be dead.

[Chorus]
Cancer just one more death,
Cancer with one more breath,
Cancer you know it damaged your health,
Cancer irrespective of your wealth.

Another victim for the packeted files,
As the smoke blends in with the sympathy smiles,
Self-destruction was the road you took,
And we've done everything that we could.

11. CAREER MOTHER

Into the bathroom put on today's vanity,
Into the kitchen you'd better watch the calories,
Shocked by your childrens clothes they're wearing nowadays,
You'd better be careful or you'll give your age away.

[Chorus]
On the wrong side of middle age,
Your prospects advance with wage,
You're a career mother.

Into the office fancy yourself as the boss,
To hell with your husband he was always a dead lose put you
Where you are but you don't owe him anything,
The diamonds he bought weren't in fashion anyway.

[Chorus]

The day is now over check out your Vogue diary,
Hoping for pleasure,
Caviar and beaujolais,
Instead it's the surgery they've got news for you today,
Some kind of disease,
Make -up won't take it away.

12. ONE BORN EVERY DAY

What ever happened to your rock'n'roll dream,
Did the end justify your means,
What ever happened to your worthy cause,
All your outrage it just bores.

[Chorus]
There's on born every day,
Isn't that what you used to say,
Let's see you for what you are,
They're all out there going too far.

Everyone's tired of your social class,
Everyone's tired of your anarchy plans,
Yesterday the future was ours,
Now who's got the money,
Who's got the power.

[Chorus]

Another turn is another fake,
Should be rubbed out like any mistake,
Got no time for the latest thing,
You're all full of nothing.
